Mark Davis Council of Administration Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Mark Davis was elected to a four-year term on the VFW’s National Council of Administration on July 29, 2026, at the 127th VFW National Convention in Reno, Nevada, representing the Department of Arkansas.

 

Mark served in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1992, and the United States Army from 1993 to 2006, earning his VFW eligibility serving in the Persian Gulf War. In recognition of his service, he received the Navy Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, three Good Conduct Medals, United States Army Reserve Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Expert Rifle Badge and the Army Expert Pistol Badge.

 

He joined the VFW in 1983 at Post 2242 in Paragould, Arkansas, where he maintains his Gold Legacy Life membership. Mark served in elected and appointed positions at the Post, District and Department levels, culminating with his election as the Department of Arkansas Commander in 2021. On the national level, he has served as National Deputy Chief of Staff, and served on the National Veterans Service Committee, Veterans Service Resolutions Committee and on the General Resolutions Committee.

 

Mark received his associate’s degree in engineering and attended trade school for motorcycle mechanics. He is retired from the United States Army.

 

He is a life member of the VFW National Home, and is a member of the American Legion, the American Pool Players Association, and serves as the Arkansas state president of the VFW Riders Group.

 

Mark and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Paragould, Arkansas.
